An Ultra-Intimate Journey to the Heart of the Pantanal

The Legendary Brazilian Pantanal: A Front-Row Seat to Wildlife

Few places on Earth offer wildlife encounters as abundant and exciting as the Brazilian Pantanal. The world’s largest tropical wetland is home to extraordinary biodiversity and provides one of the most spectacular wildlife viewing experiences anywhere in the world.

It is here that the legendary Jaguar roams, the largest feline in the Americas and the third largest in the world. Thanks to the expertise of our experienced naturalist guides and the privileged location of Naturezas, guests enjoy some of the best opportunities in the world to observe and photograph this magnificent predator in its natural habitat.

Whether you are a nature photographer, a birdwatcher, or simply a wildlife enthusiast, each day offers unforgettable encounters with Jaguars, Giant Otters, Tapirs, Capybaras, Caimans, Marsh Deer, and hundreds of bird species that make the Pantanal one of the greatest natural spectacles on Earth.

A Floating Boutique Hotel in Jaguarland

Built in 2024 under the direction of Layra Martins, Naturezas represents a new concept of river accommodation in the Pantanal. Much more than a floating hotel, it is a boutique expedition vessel created for travelers seeking comfort, exclusivity, and genuine immersion in nature.

With only seven cabins, including five Standard Cabins and two Economy Cabins, Naturezas offers a level of privacy and personalized service that is rare in wildlife tourism.

From June through November, Naturezas remains anchored in a privileged location in Jaguarland, just five minutes from the famous Black Channel, placing its guests literally in the right place at the right time, every single day of the Jaguar viewing season.

In addition to its Jaguarland operation, Naturezas also offers extended private expeditions to some of the most remote and pristine regions of the Pantanal, including the spectacular Serra do Amolar (the Amolar Mountain Range) in 4-5-day cruises through untouched landscapes.

Each itinerary is carefully planned around wildlife observation, nature photography, birdwatching, and exploration of the Pantanal’s ecosystems, transforming every voyage into a true scientific and photographic expedition.

From the first rays of sunlight reflected on calm waters to sunset excursions, when the golden light reveals all the magic of the Pantanal, every moment aboard Naturezas brings travelers closer to the vibrant rhythm of nature, where every bend in the river may reveal an extraordinary discovery.

Designed for Safety, Comfort, and Sustainability

Naturezas is a river expedition vessel measuring 26 meters (85 ft) in length, 9 meters (30 ft) in width with an approximate draft of 95 centimeters (3.1 ft), allowing it to navigate safely all year long on the main rivers of the Pantanal.

The vessel features three fully air-conditioned decks, ensuring comfort during every season.

Facilities include:

  • Seven comfortable cabins, including one specially designed for guests with reduced mobility, which features a fully-accessible bathroom.
  • A spacious, air-conditioned restaurant.
  • A panoramic observation deck for enjoying the surrounding wilderness.
  • A bar and barbecue area, perfect for relaxing after each safari.

The entire vessel was built in accordance with the regulations of the Brazilian Navy, meeting the highest safety standards for inland waterway navigation. It is equipped with all mandatory life-saving systems, including lifebuoys, approved life jackets, floating devices, a fire suppression system with hydrants on every deck, and even a backup water pump for the fire hose.

To ensure safe navigation, the vessel is also equipped with modern electronic navigation equipment, including Radar, AIS, GPS, a depth sounder, and VHF radio for continuous communication.

Its engine room houses two propulsion engines, three electricity generators, multiple service pumps, a freshwater treatment system, a wastewater treatment system, and complete acoustic and thermal insulation, ensuring guest comfort while minimizing the environmental impact of the operation.

Aboard Naturezas, every journey is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the Pantanal from an extraordinary perspective. Whether you come in search of the elusive Jaguar, remarkable birdlife, breathtaking photography, or simply the serenity of one of the world’s last great wildernesses, each expedition promises memories that will last a lifetime. We invite you to discover the Pantanal as few ever will: in comfort, in exclusivity, and in harmony with nature.
